The foreign ministry of Pridnestrovie has repeatedly stated at the international level that it is inadmissible to establish joint customs-border control of Moldova and Ukraine on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian state border. Under the conditions of the unresolved conflict between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, such unilateral destructive actions are a form of pressure on the Pridnestrovian side.
Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev gave an interview to the Dutch journalist Floris Akkerman.
During the conversation, Vitaly Ignatiev spoke in detail about the goals, objectives and key directions of the foreign policy of the PMR, focusing on various aspects of Pridnestrovian relations with the Russian Federation and the European Union.
After the meeting in the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Gubarev visited the Pervomaisk checkpoint. The diplomats discussed with the customs and border officials of the Republic the current regime of the checkpoint operation, as well as possible effects of the Moldova and Ukraine’s establishment of joint control at the Kuchurgan BCP in the territory of Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan.
During the meeting, the Pridnestrovian side reiterated its position on the absence of objective obstacles to the holding of the next "Permanent Conference ..." meeting of the Pridnestrovie once again stressed the need for an early meeting in the 5+2 format to discuss and approve the existing draft solutions on some problems in the social and humanitarian spheres.
